Internship Program
The Friends Hospital Predoctoral Internship in Professional Psychology is an APA-Accredited internship program that provides an opportunity for doctoral candidates in clinical or counseling psychology to work under close supervision in a professional setting that is committed to the principles of humane and moral treatment and high quality service. The internship program employs a Practitioner-Scholar model of training and is grounded in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, with an emphasis on Evidence-Based Treatment, within the context of a Recovery-Oriented Framework. Externship Program
The Externship Programs in Behavioral Healthcare at Friends Hospital are designed for doctoral psychology graduate students at the pre-internship level who are interested in an externship experience in a dynamic inpatient psychiatric hospital setting with intensive, specialized practicum experiences.
