Friends Hospital Crisis Response Center (CRC) and Admissions Department

CRISIS RESPONSE CENTER
Open 24/7 Friends Hospital’s CRC provides emergency walk in psychiatric evaluations, treatment and community linkages for adults. (Please note the CRC is not able to assess clients under the age of 18 years.) A multidisciplinary team, that may include masters’ prepared counselors, registered nurses, certified peer specialists, psychology services, spiritual care services and psychiatrists will help the patient develop recommendations for linkages and possible further treatment.

Our services include:
• Crisis evaluations for adults
• Information and referrals for families
• Linkages to inpatient and outpatient treatment
• 302/Involuntary commitment petitions for Philadelphia County residents
• Linkages to community services and supports.

The CRC is located at the rear of the campus. Please follow signs for the Crisis Response Center.

ADMISSIONS DEPARTMENT
Friends Hospital’s Admission Department is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with specially trained staff to provide confidential assessments and refer to the appropriate level of care. The Admissions Department is also available to assist with any referrals from providers such as outpatient clinicians, social service agencies and other hospitals.
