Friends Hospital was pleased to sponsor the Scattergood Foundation Innovation Conference held at WHYY Studios on October 30 and October 31. More than 150 national and local health leaders met to focus on the challenges of behavioral health innovation and forge unique collaborations to support these initiatives. Participants included leaders from behavioral health organizations, the legal profession, academia, consumers and family members, advocates and small non-profits.
John Repique, Chief Executive Officer of Friends Hospital, introduced Jonah Berger, New York Times best-selling author of Contagious: Why Things Catch On. Dr. Berger provided the keynote address on Thursday evening and facilitated Friday morning’s workshop. The keynote and workshop were based on his paradigm known as STEPPS and focused on how making ideas and innovations “go viral.”
A highlight of the conference was the announcement of a new partnership between the Scattergood Foundation and The Kennedy Forum.
This exciting initiative is intended to cultivate and support innovations in behavioral health.
